In 2017, Ericka applied for a protection visa in Australia. But her initial application was rejected, not because she didn’t have a strong case, but because her story wasn’t presented with the clarity and evidence it deserved. For six long years, she faced rejection after rejection for her protection visa, with her hope fading as each application was denied.
